Zoer was born in Sicilia in the 80’s and grew up in Lille, France. He is an artist, painter and product designer. Using his talents as a painter, Zoer has pushed his idea of graffiti onto the wall and off pages and canvas. The hybrid style of Zoer satisfies the letter enthusiasts as well as those keen for more representational imagery on walls As a child he liked to destroy, burn and crush objects out of curiosity, just for the sake of discovering new forms and states, play with space and time. Zoer observed in detail each of the things that attracted him and ended up forming his own environment. Zoer’s drawings always incorporated stacks of objects and vehicles, which revealed the depths of technicality. Zoer went from drawing to painting in 2002 and that became his life’s mission. He holds a degree in Industrial Design and learned how to paint and use colours with Michel Raby. He also created with Kryo / Velvet, Asom, B612, Peams and Elvis. Zoer sees himself as a free artist and that’s the way he work on his own projects. He inspires himself on his childhood memories, neighbours, street stories’ and on techno and Rock’n’Roll culture. In 2004, with Kyro, he create the CSX (Chômeurs Sans eXpérience - Unemployed without experience) so they could contact another cultures and artists. With a non-conventional approach, Zoer have one of the today’s paradigm most original style. He uses letters, vehicles and other images on his compositions and makes use of different techniques. We can find his art in abandoned places. He explores urban and industrial areas in which he mixes his concept of illustrative and abstract art. To Zoer painting is more than creating harmonious images: it is the possibility to create visions and tell us stories. In a Graffiti world, Zoer’s skills with lettering and everything involving transportation and vehicles are considered impressive. Many of his classical Graffiti are marked with Zoerism – a certain tag/signature but an entire Graffiti philosophy by Zoer as well.
